WK Kellogg Foundation: National School-Based Health Centers Conference, June 2004

A 2-day conference record, comprising 9 charts, giving participants a quick reference of each presentation, workshop, and group discussion. Metaphors and activities are captured in living color, stimulating strong memories of the material presented, the people they met, and the actions they resolved to take.

Scientific-Atlanta: Global HR Conference, June 2004

One day of this conference was devoted to creativity and motivational sessions.

West Virginia Colorectal Cancer Leadership Summit, May 2005

1 1/2-day conference record, comprising 8 charts, giving participants a quick reference of each presentation and World Cafe conversation. The WV CRC will use the images to build momentum for a concerted effort to increase CRC screening rates.

Society for Effective Lessons Learned Sharing (SELLS)
Annual Conference, October 2003

A full 2 1/2 day conference record, comprising 11 charts. Participants received PowerPoint presentations including all the charts, for their use in sharing the Conference with their organizations. The charts were also posted on the SELLS Department of Energy website.

Business and Professional Women Conference 2004

A half-day conference record, in 3 charts, capturing individual presenters, a panel discussion, and closing with a motivational talk: You're a Star.

Vision and Strategic Planning

Even for non-profits, these are usually confidential sessions. I am grateful to the Georgia State Board of High School/High Tech for their willingness to share their record.

GA State Board: High School/High Tech: a brief one day meeting to bring on new Board Members, review their History, establish a Mission, determine Assets and Barriers, and establish preliminary Goals. A huge task, and they did it. The charts are working charts, particularly around goal-setting, and illustrate the evolution of ideas.

WK Kellogg Foundation Health Team

The WKKF Health Team's Vision and three supporting Strategies, in their written form, were difficult to communicate within the Foundation and externally. They commissioned four charts to create greater understanding and to make clear how the three Strategies fit together to suport the Vision.

Patents and More --- the Innovation Jungle

To illustrate the process inventors must follow to bring their inventions to market, PatentsAndMore commissioned a mural that reflected its motto: "Your Trusted Guide through the Innovation Jungle."

Process Facilitation Templates

Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, Boston Regional Office

For a second one-day meeting, Visual Logic helped to design the meeting and created graphic templates to support each element of the process. As a cost-saving strategy, Visual Logic prepared two templates in advance and a staff facilitator led the meeting, filling in the charts as part of the process.
